Mailvator processes inbox names, received message headers and extracted plain text so the service can display messages. It also processes limited server and security logs such as IP address, request time, requested path and user-agent information to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

Retention

Inbox messages are designed to expire within 24 hours. Operational logs may be retained for a limited period required for security, abuse prevention and service reliability. Backups may persist briefly until their normal rotation completes.

Advertising and consent

Where active, Mailvator uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and personalise advertising where permitted. Eligible UK, EEA and Swiss visitors are shown a Google-certified consent message. You can change applicable choices through the privacy controls presented by Google and manage personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Sharing and legal requests

Data may be processed by infrastructure, security and advertising providers acting for their stated purposes. Mailvator may disclose limited information when required by a valid legal request or when reasonably necessary to prevent serious abuse, fraud or harm.

Your choices

Avoid using the service for personal information, clear an inbox when finished, block non-essential storage through the consent interface, and contact davidnovuk@gmail.com with a privacy question. Because public inboxes have no registered owner, Mailvator may be unable to verify exclusive control of an inbox.
