Responsible and Acceptable Use of Disposable Email

Temporary email is a privacy and testing tool. It should not be used to deceive people, evade lawful restrictions, create abusive accounts or interfere with another service.

Legitimate purposes

Reasonable uses include reducing marketing exposure during a low-risk trial, testing mail sent by software you control, and receiving a one-time non-sensitive confirmation. Always follow the receiving website’s terms and applicable law.

Unacceptable behavior

Do not use disposable addresses for fraud, impersonation, harassment, spam, credential theft, malware distribution, repeated promotion abuse or bypassing bans and account limits. Do not attempt to access an inbox you have reason to believe another person is using.

Respect other services

A website may block disposable domains or require a durable address because it needs account recovery, contractual notices or fraud controls. Circumventing that decision can put your account and other users at risk. Choose a suitable conventional mailbox instead.

Report misuse

Provide the recipient address, approximate time and relevant message headers when reporting suspected abuse. Avoid sending passwords or unnecessary personal information. Mailvator may restrict traffic, remove stored messages or cooperate with valid legal requests to protect users and infrastructure.

Quick checklist

  • Follow the destination service’s rules
  • Never use temporary email to harm others
  • Do not evade bans or account limits
  • Report abuse with minimal necessary data

Remember: Mailvator inboxes are public and temporary. Never use them for confidential information, financial services or long-term account recovery.
